I just ordered some of Cherry Tree Hill’s “Possum Sock.” It’s 20% opossum fiber! Maybe it’s weird, but I just had to have some. Now I need to hurry up and finish the ankle socks I’m making. It’s pitiful that I still haven’t finished one pair of adult socks for the summer of socks knitalong. Baby stuff is just so distracting.
I’ve also ordered some Noro Silk Garden Sock, which should arrive any day. Maybe the new yarn will jump start my sock-knitting mojo.
I’m embarrassed at how long these took to finish. But anyway, here they are.

To recap, the yarn is Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Merino in “Spring Frost.” The pattern is my standard toe-up sock pattern. I really like how these came out, but they’re not very exciting. Next, I want to make something fun.
I figured out a baby sock pattern that is ideal for me. I don’t know if it would be ideal for anyone else, but I thought I’d post it here just in case.
It is toe-up with a short row heel and a rolled cuff. The directions are for magic loop but, of course, you can use whatever method you want.
Here is a link to the pdf file.
(by the way, I also added a new page called “free patterns.” you can see the link at the top of the page.)
