As I mentioned before, I’m using the Easy Baby Cardigan pattern from Knitting Pure and Simple and I modified it to make it a sleep sack/bunting. (What the do you even call these things??) I knit it in the round after the first few inches, knit till it was as long as I wanted (I think 19″ after the underarms… I’d have to measure) and made some eyelets for the drawstring and bound off after 1 ridge of garter stitch. The cord is 3 stich icord.

I’m finishing up a sweater for Edda in Lion Brand Cotton-Ease. It’s more finished now than when I photographed it. I expect an FO post in a day or so…

I made another blueberry pie. It was very delicious. I also made vanilla sauce to go on top… it was also very delicious. I might be stuck in an endless blueberry pie phase.

I knitted pattern #266 from Knitting Pure and Simple (Little Girls Sundress or Jumper) for Edda in Sirdar Snuggly Baby Bamboo. I might be in love with this yarn. As I stated in the previous post, it is perfect. I love the pattern, too, but I wish I had knitted it longer than the pattern directed. I followed the 12 month instructions exactly, but it’s a bit short. I think it will be fine with some leggings. (Or even with shorts when it starts warming up!)

Notice the sad, little bruise on her cheek? We had an unfortunate bathtub accident. Poor little bear…

In other news, I made a blueberry pie! It was a first for me. My grandpa hurt his knee, so I thought he needed pie. (Who doesn’t?) I used something like this to cut the top. I highly recommend these devices! My mom gave it to me for Christmas and it is so fun and easy to use.

One of my current WIPs, a bunting/sleep sack for a baby boy. It isn’t meant to be a gift, actually I’m going to save it just in case I have a little boy someday. I think it’s turning out very nicely. The yarn is Sirdar Snuggly Baby Bamboo. (long name!) I love the yarn so much! It’s the perfect blend of softness, lightness and warmth. I’m using this pattern (use this link if you don’t have ravelry) with modifications to make a sleep sack instead of a cardigan.

I made the little tutu she’s wearing and the patchwork slippers. Her aunt Olivia made the cute, beaded necklace.

I really am going to post some knitting content pretty soon. The light has been dreadful for photographing knits lately. We’ve had loads of rain and clouds. Nasty. But I have been knitting, and it’s cute baby stuff! (Like most of the stuff around here….)
