The pickling.

the pickling

I love pickles. I guess it is only appropriate that my first foray into the world of pickling should happen while I am pregnant. These are kosher dill refrigerator pickles. I wasn’t brave enough to do it the old fashioned way where you have to dump all the stuff in a huge bucket and leave it for a long time and skim off the gross stuff every day. I’m easing into this.

I used this recipe, if you’re interested: Easy Refrigerator Kosher Garlic-Dill Pickles.

I’m knitting a little pullover for the little boy that we’re expecting. No photos yet. I’ll try to be more interesting on the knitting side of things, promise! It’s been busy in these parts. (And HOT. I might die.)

Pickles! I want to try those too. I LOVE pickles. Was it hard? how long do you have to wait?

Thanks! Making the pickles was really easy, actually! I haven’t tasted them yet… I have to wait until Friday. They have to brine for at least six days before they can be eaten.
