the neverending sweater

Since this is technically a knitting blog, I thought I would share a glimpse of my current knitting project. It’s a wool cardigan. I’m following the “Pomme de Pin” pattern by Amy Christofferson. It has turned out to be way more tedious and difficult (and time-consuming) than I expected, but I’m really looking forward to wearing it soon (It’s finally getting chilly here!) so I press onward. This is the part where audiobooks really come in handy.

(Sorry for the grainy, cell-phone photo.) photo

image_1 I have to say that Amy Christofferson is EXTREMELY helpful if you have to contact her for pattern help. I’ve had to contact her once, but hopefully I won’t have to again. I have most of a sleeve, the sewing up, and the button band left to go… I can probably handle that on my own. (Oh, forgot to add, the yarn is “Stroll Sport” from Knit Picks. Because I like to daydream about Madelinetosh, but I have a Knit Picks budget.)

About Jessi

I'm married. I'm a mom of two. I love dogs and almost all other animals. I like to think about things for a long time. I like all crafts (except scrapbooking. ugh.) I like running. I like cooking and baking. I analyze everything. I stress out too much. I like coffee. I love having a husband that tells me to chill out. I'm thankful for a God that loves me in spite of my many failures.
